The word of the Lord in Ecclesiastes 7:8 says better is the end of a thing than its beginning. This means that even to God, how a matter ends is much more important to Him than the way it started. Remember how God warned the people in the book of Jeremiah that if a man does good all of his life and did bad just before he dies, the good will be forgotten, only the bad will be remembered, and vice versa.
While that may sound somehow, please understand that God is not under any obligation to explain why the end matters to Him much more. In the same case, the end of the year speaks volumes than its beginning. If you have to the end of the calendar year or end of the year of a particular activity or program, you need to pray through. We shall be raising prayer points for the end of the year. Please find them below;
Thanksgiving for End of The Year
- Father, I want to thank you for keeping me and my loved ones saved till the end of the year. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because your compassion doesn’t fail (Lam 3:27). Thank you for your compassion on me and my loved ones to see the end of the year.
- The Bible says no one can receive anything except it is given unto him from above (John 3:27). Thank you for granting me the opportunity to be alive at this point in time. You made me start the year and your grace has kept me till this time of year. Thank you Jesus for this grace. I do not take it for granted because so many people were not able to enjoy this grace.
- Thank you Jesus for seeing me through each month of the year till this last month. Father, I say thank you. Thank you for making me pass through difficult moments and times. Thank you for silencing the enemies several times in the course of the year. I cannot but return all the praise to you, my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Jesus!
- Thank you Jesus for everything in this year. Thank you for the grace, opportunities, problems, and challenges that have come to my path in the name of Jesus. Where I have passed and failed, Lord I say thank you for everything in the name of Jesus. From the beginning of the year till the very end of the year, Lord I say thank you!
Prayers For The End of The Year
- Father, your word in Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me, therefore I pray that you grant me all that I need to do the things that have seemed impossible since the beginning of the year in these few weeks to end the year in the name of Jesus. Father, please help me in the name of Jesus. Don’t let this year pass me by without a great accomplishment in the name of Jesus.
- Father, 2 Peter 3:9a, says you are not slow in fulfilling your promise, therefore I receive all my pending promises of this year in the name of Jesus. Lord, this year has come to its ending part, please grant me all the promises in the name of Jesus. Let all your promises materialize in my life in the name of Jesus. Let nothing stop the fulfillment of these promises in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, as I come to the end of the year, I pray that you compensate me for all my losses in the course of the year in the name of Jesus. Lord, everything that I have lost, I receive back in multiple folds in the name of Jesus. For the Bible (Isaiah 61:3) says that you will grant me beauty for ashes and gladness for my mourning in the name of Jesus.
- Father, we have come to the end of the year, Lord I ask for the strength renewal in the name of Jesus. Father, please renew my strength. Your word in Isaiah 40:31 says that you renew the strength of those that hope in you. please grant me a renewed strength in the name of Jesus. Let me not end the year famished of strength in the name of Jesus. Just enrich me with strength in Jesus’ name.
- Father, the Bible in Romans 8:28 says that all things work together for they that love God. Jesus, I have walked in the light of your word this year till this moment, let every disappointment work out grace for me at this end of the year in the name of Jesus. Everything that has worked against me, let them begin to work for me in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, I ask that as I enter into the new year, let your mercy open up on me in a great dimension in Jesus’ name. Lord, it is time for me to move in unusual mercy in the name of Jesus. In the Bible Psalm 102:13 says it is time for your oh Lord to favor me in Jesus’ name. With this, I walk in an unusual dimension of favor in the coming year in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, I pray that as the new year opens up unto me, new opportunities open up for me in the name of Jesus. Every shut door of grace and opportunities begins to open unto me in the name of Jesus. I hereby declare that the coming year is a year of open doors and opportunities for me in the name of Jesus.
