Making a decision is not just all about making a choice, it entails a lot of things such as weighing available options, checking the pros and cons of each option as well as the effects that each option has over others.
While this may be the physical way to view it, there are spiritual ways to decision-making. Making an informed decision based on God’s prescription is the best because He knows what we do not know and He can tell the exact outcome of any decision. To this end, we shall be raising prayer points for decision-making.
- Lord, I ask for discernment to detect wrong from right and original from counterfeit that I may make the right right decision in the name of Jesus. Please grant me the discerning spirit that I may make the right decisions in the name of Jesus. Help me to discern the right direction and path from the wrong one in the name of Jesus. Father, I know that I cannot go far without discernment, please equip me with discernment in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, I ask for wisdom from above that I may judge matters right and make right decisions in the name of Jesus. You have told us to ask for wisdom if we need it that you would give us, please grant me wisdom needed to make right decisions in the name of Jesus. Let my path be littered with wisdom and let it be evident that you have endowed me with wisdom as I make decisions in the name of Jesus. Please fill me with wisdom for the right decisions in the name of Jesus.
- The Bible says there is a way that seem right to man but the end is a way of death. Lord please grant me spiritual insight to see beyond the way a normal man sees in the name of Jesus. Lord, every time I stand to make a decision, please help me to see things the way you see them my Lord and my Savior. Open my eyes and let it see clearly in the name of Jesus.
- Father, at every point I am making decision on any matter, please help me not to ignore the danger signs in the name of Jesus. As you send me signals and signs to warn me in any direction, help me to decipher these warnings and heed to them in the name of Jesus. Lord, please help me not to mis-concept these signs so that I can always make the right decisions in the name of Jesus.
- Solomon asked for an understanding heart that he may judge right. Please, Lord grant me an understanding heart that I may judge situations, efforts and people rightly so that I can make the right decisions. Please fill me with understanding that even in complex situations, I can be able to make decisions rightly in the name of Jesus. Let not understanding be far from me as I make decisions in my life in the name of Jesus.
- The Bible says the heart of man plan his ways but God directs his paths. Lord please direct my paths that I may make the right decisions in the name of Jesus. As I look into options to make decisions, please Lord, lead me in the right path that I may not end in troubles in the name of Jesus. Lord, please direct my paths in the name of Jesus. When you direct me, my decisions will be perfect and there will be no cause for alarm. Please be my guide Lord!
- Lord, at the point of making difficult decisions, please help me to stay objective and not biased in any way in the name of Jesus. Help me to stand true to objective and what is right at all times in the name of Jesus. Help me to make the right decision no matter how painful it may be and irrespective of the price I may need to pay in the name of Jesus. It is difficult to remain objective when making difficult decisions but with your help Lord, it can be done. Please help me Lord.
- Father, I pray that you give me the strength to make the right decisions to right the wrongs of my previous bad decisions in the name of Jesus. We all are products of our previous decisions, we are fine if we made right decisions. Where I have made wrong decisions that have put me in bad shape, please help me to rise by making the right decisions in the name of Jesus. It is only right decisions that can right the wrongs of failures of the past. Please help me and give the strength to right the wrongs with quality decisions.
- According to Psalm 32:8, Lord you said you will instruct and teach me the way to go. Lord, please do not leave me at critical time when I need to make decisions. Father, you said you will counsel me with your eyes on me. Lead me through every decision based on this promise of your word my Lord and Savior. Please honor your word over my life as it is in this verse of the scriptures.
- Lord, help me to yield to the discipline of those that you have placed above me to help me go in the right direction in the name of Jesus. Father, help me to see you in those that you have sent to me to help me in making the right decision in the name of Jesus. As these people play their respectful roles in my life, please help me to see you guiding me through their instructions in the name of Jesus.
