In many ministries, Pastor’s wives are usually very dormant. They often leave everything to the man of God to handle. However, they hold an important office in the ministry and in the Pastor’s life. If the wife does not occupy this office actively, the success of the Pastor’s ministry may not be in view.
The Pastor’s wife needs prayer so as to be able to balance the home ministry and be actively involved in her husband’s ministry. We must remember that she cannot be left out of our prayer list because she is the one that ministers to the one ministering to us. Here are some prayer points for Pastor’s wife;

Help her Lord to create and maintain relationships with both young and old in the ministry in a healthy way in the name of Jesus. Let her not sabotage the kingdom relationships of her husband in the name of Jesus.
- Father, we lift our Pastor’s wife up in prayer that you will grant her divine wisdom uphold her home and make it conducive for the flow of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. Help her to make the home habitat of the Holy Spirit by creating the right ambiance and environment in the name of Jesus. Let her be a channel for the flow and operation of the Holy Spirit in the home in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, we pray for our Pastor’s wife, please help her to find her assignment in the ministry in the name of Jesus. Lord, let her see her place and work in the ministry in the name of Jesus. Father, we pray not only for her to see her work in the ministry but grant her the will to do all that is required of her by you in the ministry in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, we pray for our Pastor’s wife, please help her to be a good example for the congregation especially the women and young ladies. Lord, help her to live with the consciousness of leadership and impact the congregation in the name of Jesus. Whatever that will make her fail you in influencing people in the right direction, please help her to make the necessary adjustment in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, we pray for our Pastor’s wife that you make her a vessel unto honor in the congregation in the name of Jesus. Grant her gifts and heart for service in your vineyard in the name of Jesus. Lord, in this ministry, let her usefulness increase in the name of Jesus. Take her away from the group of the seat warmer to an active tool in the ministry in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, we pray for our Pastor’s wife, please grant her grace for intercession so that she can be able to uplift her husband in prayers in the name of Jesus. Lord, increase her strength to pray and tarry before you in the name of Jesus. That through her prayers, she will be able to regulate the home and ministry in accordance with God’s will in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, while she is active in the ministry, let her not fail in the home in the name of Jesus. Grant her all that she needs spiritually and physically to make her home stand in a Godly way while she fulfills her place in the ministry in the name of Jesus. Lord, please do not allow her to succeed in one while she fails in the other. Grant her the grace to succeed in both responsibilities in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, we pray for our Pastor’s wife, please help her not to fall into the ditch of pride in the name of Jesus. Help her to stay true to God and serve in humility in the name of Jesus. Lord, irrespective of her position and achievement, let her not be full of herself in the name of Jesus. Help her gaze to be fixed on the cross so that she will not fall into the ditch of pride in the name of Jesus.
- Father, as she stands in the gap for her husband and helps in the ministry, please grant her a discerning gift to know true from false in all situations in the name of Jesus. Lord, please grant her discernment in the name of Jesus. Help her to discern rightly so that she can be able to act accordingly in all situations in the name of Jesus. Lord, just pour your discernment on her in the name of Jesus.
- Father, we pray that she will be a source of inspiration and encouragement to the feeble ones in the ministry in the name of Jesus. Lord, help her not to be the source of loggerheads and disillusionment in the name of Jesus. Help her to emit the right spirit in the ministry in the name of Jesus. That every time, members see her, she will emit the grace of God in Jesus’ name!

Prayers for your Pastor’s wife are not a one-time prayer, it is something that should be done continuously. This is the best gift you can gift both the Pastor and the ministry as a whole because a lot is dependent on her as the mother in Israel. So, keep the alter of intercession burning for her.
