Praying for the Worship Team

The worship team is very important in any church. They help us to fulfill the verse of the scripture that says we should enter into his gate with thanksgiving and court with praise.

In order words, the worship connects the congregation on earth with the father in heaven. This is an important reason why we need to pray for them. Here are prayer points for the worship team;

 

• Lord, we bless you for the gift of these ones who have released themselves for your service. Thank you for their will to serve in your vineyard. We give you all the glory for their lives and impact on the congregation. Thank you Jesus for everyone and the team as a whole in the name of Jesus.

 

• Father, we thank you for your investment on their individual lives and as a team. Thank you for the gifts that is widespread among them which enable them to serve you and work as a team. All the glory be to you our Lord and Savior.

• Lord, we lift the worship team up to you, please pour your spirit on them in the name of Jesus. Without your spirit, their worship section is mere songs. Lord, please fill the team with your spirit and let it be evident that your spirit is in the team and their ministration in the name of Jesus. 

 

• Father, we lift each member of the worship team into your hand, let them have a personal encounter in the name of Jesus. A personal encounter that will make them vessel unto honor and through them and their ministration that people may begin to find God in the name of Jesus.

 

• Father, if there is any member engaging in secret sins, please visit such member by your mercy in the name of Jesus. Touch the person and bring him back just as you did for the prodigal son in the name of Jesus. Don’t let him perish in his sins Lord and don’t let him waste the spiritual effort of others in the name of Jesus.

 

• Lord, we pray that the worship team will grow in love and unity in the name of Jesus. Let no seed of discord and hatred grow amidst them in the name of Jesus. Father, please pour lots of tolerance amidst them and in their individual lives that they may be able to tolerate each other so that true love can grow in the name of Jesus.

 

• Lord, we commit all the tools of the worship team into your hand in the name of Jesus. We cover all the musical equipment and gadgets with the blood of Jesus. None will harbor any form of spiritual attack against the user in the name of Jesus. We pray that even the equipment and gadgets will be spirit-filled just as Apostle Paul’s handkerchief was in the book of Acts in the name of Jesus. 

 

• Lord, for this worship team, let them not just sing songs for entertainment but let them communicate your spirit to the congregation in the name of Jesus. Father, enlarge their capacities both individually and corporately to be able to communicate your spirit to the congregation in the name of Jesus. 

 

• Father, we pray against every seed of corruption that the devil may want to plant amidst the worship team in the name of Jesus. We abort the growth of such seeds as envy, pride, and disobedience in the name of Jesus. Such seeds targeted at corrupting the team to jeopardize God’s move and work will not prosper in the name of Jesus.

 

• We know that everything rises and falls on leadership, Lord we bring the leadership of the worship team to you, grant them all that they need to function according to your desires in the name of Jesus. Help them to lead the team to where you want them to take it to in the name of Jesus. 

 

• Father, we lift the worship team unto you Lord, please empower the team with graces of all kinds in the name of Jesus. Let there be healing virtue, power, faith, etc amidst them that as they sing people will be receiving their miracles in the name of Jesus. Lord, when they sing, let people hear much more than the song but words from you in the name of Jesus.

 

• Father, we pray that you pour your discernment on the worship team in the name of Jesus. Help them to discern your move in the congregation and minister accordingly in the name of Jesus. Father, please grow them in your discernment that they may be able to follow your leading while ministering in the name of Jesus.

 

• Father, we pray that you help the worship team to see their duty beyond just singing in the congregation in the name of Jesus. Lord, please help them to divinely understand the place of their ministry that they may become responsible sons of the kingdom in the name of Jesus. That they become living sacrifice unto you in the name of Jesus.

 

• Father, we pray for the worship team that they will have enough spiritual strength and stamina to sing and bring down the glory of the Lord on the congregation in the name of Jesus. That each time they minister before your people, it will be from glory to glory in the name of Jesus.

 

• Lord, we pray for everyone in the worship team from the leadership to its followership, let them not fall into sin in the name of Jesus. Grant them the power and will to run away from sin just like Joseph in the name of Jesus. Help them to live a holy and righteous life in the name of Jesus.

 

Praying for the worship team is much more than just listing out a few prayer points, it is more about pressing into the spirit to pray the exact prayer points that the team needs. But you can start with those prayers listed above. May the hand of the Lord continually be on the worship team to do wonders in the name of Jesus.
