Anytime someone is diagnosed with cancer, it is always a piece of bad news. It is bad news for the person diagnosed and those that are around them. While some people have survived cancer, lots more have died due to this menace. Praying for someone with cancer especially a terminal one is an important step in caring for them.
Terminal cancer may have no cure medically or by any known means at the moment but God is able overall. One way to help someone with terminal cancer is to encourage them but much more is to pray for them to strengthen them in the spirit. If you can successfully strengthen them in the spirit, you will see the effect in the physical. Below are some prayers for someone with terminal cancer;

- Father, we bless your name even for the news because you are God over it. You have told us to be thankful in all things, therefore we thank you because worse things could have happened. Thank you Jesus for the love you have for him and the family members. All the glory belongs to you our God and father in the name of Jesus.
- Thank you because as long as there is life, there is hope. Thank you for what you have in stock for him even as he goes through this ailment in his life. Thank you for what you want to bring out of this experience for him and his family members in the name of Jesus. Glory be to God!
- Lord, we ask for forgiveness of his iniquities, sins, and transgression that may have allowed this in his path in the name of Jesus. Help him to repent where necessary in the name of Jesus. If it is his sins, Lord please do not allow him to die in his sins in the name of Jesus.
Healing Prayers
- Lord, we bring him before you at this point of his down moment, please let all treatment he will be receiving work well with his body system in the name of Jesus. Let his system respond to all therapy and treatment in the name of Jesus.
- Father, we come against all forms of error and mistakes in the treatment and diagnosis in the name of Jesus. As the doctors do all that they can do to battle his life, give no room for the devilish and costly blunders in the medical procedures and practices targeted at helping him get better in the name of Jesus.
- Father, I ask that you help the doctors involve in the treatment with insight, inspiration, and skill to create a treatment plan that will be suitable for his case in the name of Jesus. Help them to take the right step at appropriate times and do what is needed in the right measure in the name of Jesus.
- The Bible says with God nothing shall be impossible. Therefore, we pray that you heal him in the name of Jesus. Lord, You are a specialist in worse situations and those that people have written off. You raised four-day dead, heal thirty-eight blood issues, and opened eyes that have been blind from birth. There is nothing impossible for you, please heal this terminal cancer too in the name of Jesus.

- Father, we pray that you visit this man even in his down moment that seems the sun is setting on him in the name of Jesus. Only you can make him feel better, for no one hears about his death date and still feel good. Please reach out to him so that he may find comfort in you even as the day draws closer in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, your word says we should cast down imaginations therefore we come against every satanic imagination and thoughts that the devil may want to be used against him in the name of Jesus. By the power in the name of Jesus, we pull down all forms of devilish mental pictures that the devil may want to use to reduce his strength in the name of Jesus.
- Father, I lift him up to you in his last days, please help him to right all of his wrongs in the name of Jesus. Help him to settle all that he needs to settle before he is called home in the name of Jesus. Let all that he has forgotten that needs to be settled be brought back to him that he may settle all so as to have his rightful place in your kingdom in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, your word spoke of the peace that passes all human understanding, please help him to find that peace from within in the name of Jesus. Help him Lord, to find peace with you and with all humans around him in the name of Jesus. Help him to find the peace that even he cannot explain in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, we pray for his people that you grant them the heart to bear this unwanted and painful news in the name of Jesus. Grant them all understanding to handle it in a way that will not put him in more danger in the name of Jesus. Lord, please help his friends and family to react to him in the best ways that will keep him at peace in the name of Jesus.
- Father, we pray that you enclose him in the aural of your love at this moment of his life in the name of Jesus. Your love is a better assurance, especially at this moment that is he is closer to his grave. Let him feel your love more than he has ever read or known about it in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, I pray that you have your way in this situation. Let only your will come to pass over this situation in the name of Jesus. Lord, please be glorified in any way you deem fit in the name of Jesus.
- Thank you Jesus because we are persuaded that when we pray to you, you hear us. Thank you Jesus!
