Being suicidal means that someone has reached a point in his life where he feels justified to take his own life. Sometimes, it might not be that he feels justified to kill himself. It maybe that he wants to end the way he feels – to end the pain, the depression, the unworthiness, the sense of helplessness, the void in his heart. To just end everything.
People may tend to have suicidal thoughts as a result of mental health issues, life failures, different abuses, identity issues, addiction issues, relationship problems, trauma, etc. In this piece, we shall be raising prayer points for someone who is suicidal. These prayer points will be addressing the sources of the suicidal will and thoughts. Please find the prayer points below;
- Father, we pray that you help this one with his burdened heart in the name of Jesus. Let his burden be lifted in the name of Jesus. Let the burdens on his heart bring him into suicidal thoughts, and will be taken off in the name of Jesus. Father, you are a burden bearer and lifter, please help this one for he is a son of Abraham by faith too in the name of Jesus.
- Father, help him to see value where he fails instead of tagging himself a failure in the name of Jesus. Help him to see that failure is a path to success and help him to pick the lessons in the name of Jesus. Let every suicidal thought hanging on his previous failures become rootless in the name of Jesus. Let him be held bound no more by his previous failures let alone being a source of suicidal thoughts in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, we pray that you destroy every stronghold of depression in the life of our brother in the name of Jesus. Whatever the depression is hanging on, let it be destroyed to its root in the name of Jesus. Lord, please break the stronghold of depression that is facilitating suicidal thoughts and will in the name of Jesus. Please reach out to him even in his depression and bring him out for your glory alone in the name of Jesus.
- Father, I pray that you help this suicidal brother to find delight in the purpose you have for him in the name of Jesus. Help me him to find himself in you again in the name of Jesus. For with you, no suicidal will or thought can prosper. Let him find his purpose in you afresh so that he can find reasons to live beyond sleeping and wake up in the name of Jesus. Help him to see that he has worth with you and there is an essence for him on earth in the name of Jesus.
- Our Lord and Savior, just as you helped Job during the hard times that he neither contemplates suicide nor denies you, please help this brother in the name of Jesus. That beyond the trials and issues that he may be facing, your help for him will take him through in the name of Jesus. Let him find help in you and let it be evident that you have helped him indeed that he may know that his life is worth more than death in the name of Jesus.
- Father, I bring this brother who has become suicidal before you, please heal him from the trauma of the past that has brought him into this suicidal will and thoughts in the name of Jesus. Lord, please save him from the trauma and bring him into the reality of your word for his life in the name of Jesus. Let the stronghold of the trauma on him be shattered and of no effect over him in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, I pray that you heal this brother from every mental issue that makes him suicidal in his actions in the name of Jesus. And as he takes medications, please use the medication to bring about the healing where necessary in the name of Jesus. Lord, we pray that all medications and therapy administered by the specialist on him will produce the result in the name of Jesus.
- Jesus, you say in your word that you have come to give us life in abundance, please minister life to this brother in the name of Jesus. Let him encounter you the light of all men that the darkness over his spirit may disappear in the name of Jesus. Let him receive life from you that the spirit of suicide may vanish from his life in the name of Jesus. Grant him life, Holy Spirit, the spirit of life visit him and overshadow him in the name of Jesus.
- Father, I bring this brother before you, please save him from the hands of death that are gradually taking him. Remember oh Lord, your divine agenda for his life and the multiple souls that you have attached to his rising. Please pick him up from the power of the suicidal thoughts and will in the name of Jesus. Let every investment of the devil to destroy him by this suicidal thought and will become futile in the name of Jesus.
- Jesus, your visitation is surest healing that can drag him from the grave to life. You did this for Lazarus that was dead and buried for four days, and he bounced back to life. How much more this brother that is still alive, please visit him and drag him out of the suicidal thought and will in the name of Jesus. Bring him back to the true life you have called him to live in the land of the living my Lord and my Savior.
- Thank you Jesus for answering our prayer on this matter. Thank you because you died for us so that we can have life in abundance and that this brother will be moved into a new life of glory and essence for the kingdom. Thank you Jesus!
