As Christians, God wants us to live a life of peace and order; a life that isn’t bombarded with confusing feelings but Satan; the biggest enemy of God and Christians doesn’t want this, he’d rather want us to live in perpetual fear and confusion.
At times we feel lost and it seems like our life is being tossed to and fro like a flower in the middle of an ocean. But this isn’t of God because He has revealed to us in the Holy Bible that He already knows that we are bound to encounter such situations and that whenever disorder and confusion arise in our lives, He is ready to restore order, peace, and freedom.
When the spirit of confusion comes to bring a storm into our lives as the children of God, we have been empowered through His word that He is not an author of confusion but peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33). Therefore, when we go into prayer to Heaven, God will give us a sound mind and make us live again in the realm of clarity and peace. Let us proceed to apply the scriptures and pray against the spirit of confusion and that God brings clarity of thought and peace to us.
- Do Not Forget God’s Word:
“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of saints.” (1 Corinthians 14:33).
Almighty God,
I am very grateful for this moment and even amid this confusion and chaos I am more than glad that I can trust solely in your words that you’re not an author of confusion but peace. Therefore, I am connecting with the spirit of the Holy Spirit and declare now that every spirit of darkness causing confusion and bombarding me with confusing feelings will be uprooted and destroyed and that I received the spirit of peace and stability right now in the name of Jesus.
Help my heart to rely on your power and promises each time the spirit of darkness and confusion comes knocking on the door of my heart in Jesus’ name. Amen.
- Cast Your Cares Upon Him:
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7).
Dear God,
You said I should cast all my anxieties and confusion upon you because you care a lot for me. By the virtue of this assurance, I pray that you help me overcome every spirit of confusion and disorder in my life and career. I pray for the spirit of discernment and guidance to start abiding with me right now. I know you hear and you are with me now as I cast my worries upon you, I pray that you come to my aid and grant unto me a sound mind always and make me live a life of clarity and peace. Help me to not give up and never forget to take my confusion and greatly troubled heart to your throne of mercy and care in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not to thy own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5).
Father Lord,
I know many times I have relied on my wisdom to solve my problems and troubles. I come to your throne of mercy and grace to plead for forgiveness. Forgive all my sins and folly and help me destroy every spirit of confusion in my life in Jesus’ name. Give me the understanding to trust in your wisdom, revelation, and understanding in all I face. Fill me with the knowledge needed to be victorious over confusion and chaos in my life in Jesus’ name. Today I break every connection with the spirit of confusion for there is no confusion in the heart of Christ; therefore I tap into the reality that my mind aligns with the mind of Christ. Amen.
- Ask For Mercy:
“Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16).
Dear Lord,
I confess that I need you in my life more than ever and therefore boldly come to you for help from above to fight against the evil spirit of confusion in my life in Jesus’ name. I pray that you help me destroy every government of confusion and that they catch fire now. Let all chaos and confused feelings be diverted and sent out of my life today in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that every arrow of confusion fired into my life should backfire on its senders in the mighty name of Jesus. I refuse to be caged by confusion and declare that by the grace of the Holy Ghost, every power of confusion should die now in Jesus’ name. Amen.
- Walk In Faith:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7).
Dear Lord,
I thank you that you have not instilled in me the spirit of fear and confusion but rather of power and love and that I should have a sound and orderly mind. I, therefore, declare that you rise for my sake and destroy every trace of confusion over my destiny. I command every yoke of confusion over my life to break into pieces in the name of Jesus. Every vessel in my body is anointed by the blood of Jesus and I proclaim victory against every attack of the spirit of confusion in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank you Lord; may your name be forever praised. Amen.
