Prayers for those who despitefully use you

Finding out that those who wish you well physically are the ones using you. The majority of us have been hurt from finding out that we have been used. Probably by a colleague at work, a close friend, your neighbor, or even your blood-related sibling.

And most times it is difficult for you to confront them, therefore leaving a scar on your heart. At this point, the best thing to do is to put the situation into God’s hands because he can do all things. Praying for them is the best because it is according to the will and commandment of God as written in Matthew 5:43-44. Therefore it’s not in our hands to seek vengeance but to forgive and move on from such situations. Praying and believing lift the burdens from our hearts and make things easy to solve. Let us begin to pray the following prayers for those that have despitefully used us one time or the other.

Prayer For Your Haters:

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” (Matthew 5:44).

Dear God,

I thank you for the grace given unto me this moment to obey your will and pray for those who have despitefully used me. Although the scars from the painful memories still hurt, I am glad that I find approval in you and the healing that is everlasting. I kindly seek forgiveness for all those who have despitefully used me and that you touch their hearts so that they will repent and be converted back to you in Jesus’ name. I pray for the salvation of their soul and intercede on their behalf; Grant them your mercy and open their understanding to the reality that they have not sinned against me but you and therefore should make amends that glorify your name. And if possibly there is anyone who has used me to achieve an ill purpose; Lord exposes them and helps them correct their ways in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

 Forgiving all Bitterness:

“Let all bitterness, and wrath and anger and clamor and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted forgiving one another” (Ephesians 4:31 -32).

 Heavenly Father,

You’re the all-knowing God who has ruled from age to age and has never failed. I thank you for the understanding of your word and your grace over me. I am glad that you heal my hurts and afflictions caused by those who have despitefully used me and therefore I put away all anger and bitterness I may be harboring from now on. I have sinned also and the countless number of times you have forgiven me and shown me mercy. Therefore, I forgive all those who have despitefully used me as you have forgiven me too. Let your mercy and grace begin to speak for them in Jesus’ name. Amen.

 Overcome Evil With Good:

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21)

Dear Lord,

I bless your Holy name for you alone is worthy of my praise and adoration. I appreciate you because my life has been saved by your love and mercy and I am glad for your words that say that I should overcome evil with good. Therefore, instead of sorting to kill and hurt those that have despitefully used me, I want to pray for them that they should be saved in the mighty name of Jesus. I seek the redemption of their souls and pray that you turn their hearts toward you from now on in Jesus name. Lord, I pray that your mighty hands swing them and make them experience situations that will draw them closer to your throne of grace and mercy. Amen.

 Vengeance Is Of The Lord:

“Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19).

Dear God,

I thank you that you fight all my battles for me and that in you I find relief that no human can give. I acknowledge your words which say that vengeance is for you and not me. Therefore, everyone who has despitefully used me and has gotten away with it; I pray that you fight for me and repay them in multiple folds in the mighty name of Jesus. I declare that they desist from despitefully using others too in Jesus’ name. Amen.

 Opening Doors Of Blessings:

“Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9).

Dear God,

Thank you for the life of abundance that you have given me. I appreciate your mercies that endure forever and ever. By your words that I should bless those that have despitefully used me and that in that way I might obtain blessing; I pray that you make your face shine upon them and cause them into repentance from their evil ways. In return, I pray that I am abundantly blessed and prosper more than ever before in Jesus’ name. I humbly seek that your grace continually abides with me and protects me from anyone who is planning to despitefully use me from now on in the mighty name of Jesus. Heavenly Lord, thank you for you have heard my prayers; let your name be highly exalted forever and ever. Amen.

Our Lord is a consuming fire and can fight on our behalf more than we can even imagine whenever we report to him how we’ve been hurt and cheated. He will avenge us in the right way against all those who despitefully used us and took advantage of us. It is important to obey his words to pray for the ones that despitefully used us because that way we are heaping burning coals on their heads Romans 12:20. Therefore it is advised that you say these prayers daily and watch as God fights for you.
